John H. Suiter

A two story house of frame construction on a stone foundation was built in 1855. The front of the house is three bays wide with a sheltered porch running the full width of the facade. This house is located at 1220 N. 2nd Street. John H. Suiter was the second generation of Suiters on the river. From 1843 until 1875 he worked as a rapids pilot.
